Bitwala is a global payment service provider based on blockchain technology. Bitwala was founded by by Jörg von Minckwitz, Jan Goslicki, and Benjamin P. Jones in 2015 and is headquartered in Berlin, Germany. The main goal of Bitwala is to provide global, instant money transferring services with Bitcoin or other altcoins at a lowest possible cost. In 2017, the interface of Bitwala was updated. Due to this, the company conducted a Bitwala ICO for their tokens, which function as Bitwala stocks so that anyone who bought it owns part of the company. Recently, the company announced the release of a contactless Bitwala debit card. ドイツの仮想通貨企業ビットワラ（Bitwala）は、1300万ユーロ（約16億円）を調達した。ソニーのベンチャーキャピタルや日本のVCであるグローバルブレインが資金調達ラウンドに参加した。
1256 BitGoは、6,000万ドルもの顧客の資産を失ったBitfinexが取り扱っていたウォレット・ソフトウェアだが、Bitwalaによると、ウォレット・サービスを立ち上げた時点ではまだこれからも提携していくようだ。ビットコイン・ウォレットをBitwalaの自社プラットフォームに追加したことで、ユーザーはビットコインでの決済や、送金をシームレスにウェブ上で行うことが出来るようになった。 発表された内容によると、海外送金や、17の通貨に対応したビットコインでの支払いが可能なプラットフォームを利用し、ユーザーは資産をフルコントロールできるようになるようだ。
285Bitwalaのユーザーは、ユーザー体験を向上させるべくデザインされた新しいメッセンジャーを利用して、ついにチャットとだけでなく決済も行えるようになった。Bitwalaはユーザーの代わりに銀行間送金を行うサービスで、海外送金や、17種の通貨建てでビットコインの支払いが可能だ。また、ドイツ、フランスなどのヨーロッパの各地でビットコインを利用したSEPAでの決済も可能だ。
